Here's a trick to make your protein shake into a treat to sip.

In a blender, throw in a handful (+ 1/2 if small paws) of ice.  Add some of the liquid you'll make the shake with (water, milk, soy milk).  Cover and blend until the ice has become crushed.  Add your protein powder, blend again.

If you'd like, add some malt with the protein powder (works well with chocolate flavors).  Doesn't add much carbohydrates and is about 15 calories.

The illusion is that you're drinking an ice cream shake.  It's a small project, but when your sweet tooth is being obnoxious . . .

Ive been using ice and lowfat milk for awhile, i love it, always look forward to a protien shake
