ive been lead to the conclusion that when taking creatine it fills your muscles with water and adds a bit of extra energy etc etc

but my Q is. can anyone give me the real benefits of taking it in a few bullet points?
AND

will my muscles shrink when i stop taking it as they wont be full of water? (i myt of just totally missunderstood that bit though lol)

1.Creatine works by changing water potentials in the muscles so amino acids flood into the muscles, so yes, the muscles are increasing mainly in water weight, but you do get extra amino acids (as long as youre eating enough lol) into your muscles faster because of this.

2.Creatine is also a part of the citric acid cycle and can bind to phosphates (or sold as creatine phosphate) to replenish ATP when you use it up during a workout, though this is very quick and doesnt get useful for the entire workout

3.Yes your muscles will shrink in water weight when you stop the cycle, however they should end up bigger than when you started your cycle as the extra growth should be added onto it.

The best benefits of taking creatine are these main ones, i took creatine for an entire year, didnt even cycle, just took the stuff, and i gained a lot of mass, but you need food etc as well.

Another good thing is you have more endurance, and can fullfill more in full body routines, whereas nowadays im off creatine and the deadlifts really kill me, on creatine this doesnt really happen much, you can tell the difference in energy with creatine.

You may lose strength after youve stopped taking it but thats not a definite.

who asked your age lmao?

anyway if you read twisted's post its not worth my time, considering my size anyway.

also yes it myt work wounderfully. but only at what it does. which is fill your muscles with water and gives you a bit more energy.

which i do believe "really works" however those claiming it makes your bigger or ripped i do not believe. therefore i will not be having it as i also dont want to waste my time AND money.

and clearly whey protein is by far the best supp you can take.

Its nothing miraculous, basically if youre working a 9-5 job and want an extra boost throughout the day for when you want to workout-consider creatine.

If youre having trouble finishing workouts or feeling tired but not bodily tired, consider creatine.

It helps mainly in energy levels, thats the most noticable effect it has, or should have, the growth it allows is...trivial...Your body is efficient enough to pack on mass, creatine just helps it along a tad, hence the word "supplement" LOL.

I took it for a year and got excellent results, but that was 49% diet 49% training and 2% creatine.

if you are 230 lbs with a 49" chest and 18" arms and only benching 264 lbs (didn't know they made 2 lb plates), then perhaps you should consider using creatine to up your strength.... just a thought.

Im said my age to show that i can afford it.  I would reccommend taking whey, multivitamin thats good like animal pak, and creatine, preworkout too if you need it.
