chest problems...still - Monday, November 03, 2008 10:44 AM ( #1 )
i mentioned a while ago i was having problems with my chest, the problem was only my left side of my body was feeling sore and swollen when working out, and my left pec feels really irritated after working out, and continues for a week after a work out and even if i do light everyday lifting stuff or some push ups it will start becoming irritated.

after it swells up i can feel the left side alot more and i realized it was mostly because i had more skin folding/bulging into my arm pit when i stand with my arms straight down with my legs, im not sure if this is normal either.

i started using dumb bells and machines that let me use my muscles evenly and once in a while throw alittle extra weight on the right side but had no improvement.

im starting to get worried i tore or damaged my muscle, i kind of figured its from bad form but im not sure. im hoping i can an answer here before going to a doctor or before it becomes too serious. it really bothers me id love to work out alot more but it really brings me down that im probaly messing up my body when im trying to make it healthier.

stop working out (upperbody of full body might be a good time to take a break) for a week or 2 if it is still irritating you go to a doctor.

STOP WORKING OUT IMMEDIATLY. ITS VERY DANGEROUS IF SOMETHING GETS DAMAGED FROM IT! Take a break for a month at least! If doesn't get better go to doctor, it can be very serious and before you know it, it can be to late. I am not trying to scare you or be pesemistic, I just dont want you to get hurt or anything.

what problem did you have?

i notice in the mirror when i put my arms straight down parallel with my legs there is a bigger fold in my left armpit, it seems theres more muscle growly wider in the left pec. it keeps hurting even when i work out after i take a long break. i guess i should go to the doctors, it cant hurt to go

To tell you the truth I feel soreness in my left pec more than I do in my right as well. Not too much, but I feel the difference. It was a while ago I noticed that my left pec was slightly smaller than my right one so I'm guessing thats the main reason why its more sore. I have the same problem when doing squads and leg press, for some reason my left leg is slightly longer than my right leg and left one is stronger too so my right leg feels all the sorness and left one barely gets anything.
Its not what you know, its what you can do that counts!
