Absolutely you should support this store.

And Kris is dead on about manufacturers and the fact that they cannot undercut their retailers.  This is why DS will not be selling direct in the near future.

Mass Nutrition is not affiliated with a discussion board that allows you to discuss supplements and other topics freely.

Supplements101.com is, however, and you happen to be on it right now. So even if they are slightly more expensive, that's a small price to pay relative to the benefit that's associated with it.

I got a question about supps101... why don't they carry Optimum Nutrition products? I think they are missing out on a lot of profit from 100% Whey as it seems to be popular on every other internet supplement store... I think in top 3 of both BulkNutrition and Bodybuilding.com

Actually, Optimum Nutrition was one of the first companies we brought on board when we started our store. We carried every single Optimum Nutrition product they made actually.

But a few years ago we needed to make a pretty big return and they refused it. It said in their return policy they accepted any return... but when we called they said "That's too large of a return... there's nothing we can do."

Optimum Nutrition did not stand behind their policy and their product. I know you guys as customers don't care... but we do. You can see it as profit lost... which it is by not carying their line. But, we choose not to do business with companies that aren't honest and don't stand behind their products.

Just like MRM for example. We used to carry everything MRM did and we carried more MRM products then anyone else. Well, one day one of our distributors contacts us and tells us MRM has been going behind his back and taking his accounts. What happened is he supported their line for over a year and spent his time and commision pushing their products. One year later, MRM starts contacting his clients directly and offering better deals then he can. When he calls a store of his, they say "Sorry, MRM gave me **% off wholesale. You can only do **% so I'm going direct with MRM."

Where is MRM now? They're still around... just not on Supplements 101 anymore. Did we lose business? Sure... a lot actually. But if MRM is willing to mess with a good distributor and friend of ours, then they're someone we don't want to do business with. Anyways... if they're willing to stab him in the back now, there's no reason they won't stab us in the back later.

My point to this is, we're an honest company that stands behind our products 100% and stands behind our customers 100% If a manufacturer isn't able to do the same for us then we won't support and carry their line. I used to take 100% whey by Optimum Nutrition myself... but when we stopped carrying their line I found a substitute product. 100% whey by Optimum Nutrition is not the best whey protein out there. It's good... but not the best. It's cheap, and tastes pretty good... but it gives me and a lot of people gas and stomach cramps.

If you're looking to buy nothing but Optimum Nutrition products then Supplements 101 isn't going to be able to help you. But if you're willing to try something new, or better yet, find a better whey protein, then we can help you with that.

Haha, I wasn't taking a stab at supps101 by any means... it was just a thought that came up since it's such a popular product on basically every other store... just made me curious why you guys didn't cary their line. But you explained the situation and I respect the decision that was made towards ON. I can tell supps101 would be my best choice to do business with if I ever make an online purchase. Right now I'm sticking to my local GNC and Vitamin World stores with their discounts. Some products come out more expensive than online but some products come out definitely cheaper, with their special sales and such... you just gotta be smart as to when to buy each product. I'm thinking about buying a tub of pure micro creatine by AST via supps101 when I run out of my current supps.

Thanks for the reply kris, and glad to know supplements101 is nothing but honest. BTW, which Whey did you replace ON with in your training? I bought my first tub of ON, bout half way thru and I like it a lot, but then again... I might be the most willing to try new things when it comes to supplements.

I have a question, and maybe a pretty good idea:

If supplemebts101.com and discussbodybuilding.com is merged, and giving business one another, why not advertise it as one.

I mean the "wearables" DB.com offers right now, has a big db.com logo on it, why not have maybe just a little supplemebt101 logo on the bottom left side??

I think it would look pretty good, and since supplement101 help us keep up this board, well help them draw more eyes to there page....am i right??

I have a DB.com shirt my self, and i am wearing it proudly many places i go, now if we had a lil supp.101 logo on it, i would be more than happy to advertise it.
You think girls look at what you lift...or what you lift it with?
