The good old rehab bikes are the best, monarch.  they are affordable and you can find them used.
Also try craigslist in your area.
I have a sears recumbent bike, whats it called....forget now, they sold for 300 and I got it free at a yard sale, they just wanted this pc gone so I lucked out but it was not huge and has great options.
Anyway, even the rebok spin ones are nice and again if you look for used ones locally you will find a good one.  Many times people get tired of using them for clothes racks so they sell them cheap and they are usually used once or twice!

Actually, here is the exact one I have:

Its adjustable at the mid of that bottom bar thing so leg length is considered.  The seat can get hard after 20 mins though....and I have padding, so I cannot image when I get lean, I will most likely need to add a pillow under my tushy.
I bet you can find one of these or similar in craigslist for like 50 bucks almost new!!
