Hi, i decided to start workout out couple days ago. started to buy myself dumbells a barbells, got weights, still need to buy weights,a bench and some other stuff. though, i wanted to know for those who have they're own home gyms or even those who would have an idea, where do you buy good quality stuff for a cheap price. i think its on this forum i heard weights should cost .25-.50$/lb. that pretty cheap to make urself a nice set of weight. where did you people buy ur weights, bench and all other stuff to make ur own gym?

You can make your OWN THREAD for that, people are gonna ignore what's off-topic. Especially since it's not exactly an easy question to answer. Make a thread for your question.

when i was in middle school i wanted a dumbell set to build some muscle on my arms and i saw them at costco. i think it was 90 bucks for 4 pairs with a rack. seems like a lot huh? if you really wanna go the cheap way build your own. back in the day before their were dumbells people would find a pipe laying around(like for pluming) and stick it threw a tin can, like coffee, and fill the can with heavy rocks or cemeant then start lifting, curls and stuff. its not pretty, but it works. also if you have any stores like goodwill, salvation army(sally ann) or any other charity stores where people donate old stuff sometimes you can find weights, bars, a bench, old exercise equiment. you also might find something on gregs list or ebay(no idea how much shipping would be) if your looking for something more you might want to invest some money in a bowflex, they cost some money but it can really give you a totaly body workout with different amounts of ressitence

you just have to look around if i were you i would just buy the cheapest stuff u can but make sure ur bench set thingy has things like lat pulls and leg presses and things like that. then i would buy a 300 lb. olympic wieght lifting set it is: 1 45 lb. [standard] bench bar 2 2.5 lb. weights 4 5 lb. weights 2 10 lb. weights 2 25 lb. weights 2 35 lb. weights 2 45 lb. weights this should be enough weights and you should get 1-2 barbells and a curl bar and a rack like before look around and get the cheap stuff. hope i helped.

it did help but i'm not interested in a bench with legs and lat pull stuff. i just want a bench that can incline and i can set under the bed or in the wardrobe cause everything i have is in my bedroom as i live in an appartement and i dont have a room for fitness. also i am the only one using this stuff so thats why it goes to my room. a bench that has leg presses and other stuff attached must take lota room...

o and just so u know if all ur gonna do is bench press dont buy a bench press set ur throwing ur money away bench press is nice but it isnt any more important than all of the other body parts or all of the other exercises. also i suggest some how finding more room idk how ur room will even fit the bench and u need alot more room than jus the bench for the rack and room to dead lift and stuff...good luck.

no but with the ones you showed, i would not be able to store it somewhere when i'm done. when i workout i just pick up my dumbells and barbell from under the bed and then put them back when i'm done. i couldn't do that with those benches but yea... i need do find an alternative
