change the search function - Wednesday, November 05, 2008 6:59 PM ( #1 )
it is too slow, i accidentally click on it and it takes me to that search page, I say put a search box in the corner or something with advanced link under it.

I actually like and prefer the search function. Many members have commented on how improved it is as well (in finding relevant results).

To solve the first problem you have, you need to stop clicking on it if you just want the search box to appear. You are aware of this since you said you accidentally click on it.

The second problem I'm not seeing on my end. I just ran a search for "creatine" and it displayed all my results within 3 seconds. To make it even quicker though, you can change the time filter of your search from "from the beginning" to "1 month" or something similar. If the forum has less data to sort through the search should go faster.
