cellucore D4 slimming down - Saturday, June 13, 2009 9:53 AM ( #1 )
I just finished my sophomore year of college. I successfully avoided the freshman 15 two years ago only to put it on as a sophomore. Now I am ready to get rid of it. Unfortunately I picked up some bad habits along with the extra weight that I'm going to need to shed as well.... like making excuses to eat JUNK and eating alot when I'm drunk :P. Anyway, I'm also spending the summer abroad, which means me cooking clean and exercise resources are hard hard hard core limited. I've got my work cut out for me!

Okay, I'm here to monitor my weightloss while taking cellucor D4 thermal shock and to maybe get some support or advice from others as i go about this. Two years ago i was a regular in the weight room, toned and TIGHT and i want that BACK. But i gotta quit being lazy, which is what I plan to start happening right now.

So cellucore... can it help me slim down in the next 7 weeks before i go back to the states if i eat healthy and run regularly? it better!

I don't have a scale so my starting stats are:
R leg: 23.5 in
R arm:11.25 in
belly button: 32 in
i'm 5'8, female, 20 and about 145/150

see you tomorrow with my healthy diet and exercise update.

Rely primarily on a calorie deficit,  healthy foods (chicken, fish, tuna, fruits, vegetables, protein shakes) and rely on morning cardio and afternoon weight session to lose weight.

I too am a sophomore in college, so I know where you're coming from with the weight.

You don't sound very obese, what is your goal weight? At 5'8" 140lbs you'd look great.

PM me for one on one help.

ha, yes thankfully not obese, but definitely not content. I agree with morning cardio for a number of reasons but my issue more than any is probably weight lifting. Weights are such a catalyst for weight loss but I don't have even one dumbbell here. All I have is a little bit of space in my room, the floor and one elastic band. Any recommendations on the most worthy moves under the circumstances would be greatly appreciated.

so far I've had no issues with cellucore D4. I sleep perfectly well every single night. Actually, better than usual. I've always taken it with a little bit of food and water and haven't had any nausea.

I'm traveling with friends this weekend for a night out and so thats one of my key motivators this first week. I'm hoping for some loss in the legs more than anything!

You could still do bodyweight movements - squats, pull-ups, push ups, sit ups, leg raises from the floor, triangle push ups, pretty much all the necessary movements without a horizontal pull, it'd be difficult although there could be some options if you were determined enough.

Isometric contractions (since you can't really workout with resistance) should be your prime focus.

Update: I've been sticking with just 2 pills aday, although I've been debating adding another. I've been eating lean meat (turkey breast essentially) and fruits the past three days and have run as well. I imagine I'll be bloated all week... hmmph, so once that's past I'm hoping to see some good results come saturday and sunday.

Resistance is resistance, any weight will work. Example: stuff one's old old gaming magazine collection +/- a history book into a pillow case and use it for squats, floor press, pushups, OH press, etc. The pillow case may only weight 15-25Lbs but its better than nothing.

Calisthenics can be made progressively harder by altering the angle, leverage, weight, range of motion, etc. Example: Pushups with your feet raised, one arm pushups, etc. Pullups are a superb exercise, if you have a basement, water heater, sturdy door, etc, you can do them from those.

That said, weights are the best option, even if you have to build your own weight set, find a way. I don't see anything wrong with using a heavy rock for resistance, logs, climbing the side of a small cliff, commando pullups from a tree branch, etc. Craigslist is your friend, good deals show up often.
Three week keto test run

It will work, or I'm done dieting.

Two 20lb dumbells wouldn't exceed $50 I don't think, you spend more $ usually on junk food per week than that... and you don't have to re-buy them, they're there for life.

I'm not sure if its me, the weather, the cellucore, the food... but the past few days i've been a great mood. I still gotta say no headaches, nothing. i DID notice however, yesterday I was really sensitive to caffiene in a really small serving, which pretty much never happens for me. But my diet had been pretty restricted the day before so i wasn't bothered or surprised. MAYBE saw some size lost from my legs. thats my main goal. hope for more tomorrow
