depends on intensity of training, how long you have been training, your lifting routine, how many times you lift a week. Why are you taking a week off?

soz for the short start, i was on my iphone! I have been training for a while now, the last 2 weeks i did 2 sessions a day. i am in a rut and trying to come up with ways to start gaining again. i never did any cardio, i got bigger but lost the abs and fitness. I took a week off of training cause of the 2 weeks i did 2 sessions and i felt i needed a rest from weights. i am eating right and taking lots of protein. just cant seem to get out of my rut. also any excersies to help with def on the chest. there isnt a bench press bench at my gym, just a bench which can incline but not de. any help would be apprciated!

Dude, working out daily is already too much, but working out twice a day is crazy. It's while you rest you grow. Eating right isn't just proteins. It's about a good carb/protein/fat ratio. If you lost it your abs, it probably means you ate too much fatty foods. If I were you, I'd find a consistent routine (since it sounds like you're kinda starting, full body would be good), and stick to that. I dunno if you'll need flat bench or not. I say, take this week off, find a consistent routine and stick to it for a while. You shouldn't be needing to take a week off until after 6-8 weeks of training I think.
