hey guys i was at vitamin shoppe yesterday picking up more mono creatine and this guy there told me to get this carbo gain stuff and put the carbo gain, creatine, and, glutamine in my protien shake for my post workout. does that sound ok? he also told me that taking my creatine before my workout is wrong and im wasting my time and money. im so confused! is it better to take it pre or post? also should i use this carbo gain with the creatine? he told me its the dextrose i need to absorb the creatine, i said i drink it with grape juice he said this is better. anyone?

Take it after workout with juice. You dont need the carbo gain. If I looked up the product you are talking about, carbo gain is full of complex carbohydrates and you want simple carbohydrates (simple sugars) to go with your creatine because they will be processed quicker. The carbo gain would be good postworkout if you mixed it in a protein shake because you need carbohydrates as well after lifting but it is not needed for creatine absorbtion. So PWO creatine with your juice and then protein shake/meal soon after. Here is an article I found when I was looking up some information the other day. It might make you more confused and it is slightly contradictory of what I told you. lol. (but it is a good article about postworkout nutrition.) http://www.weighttrainersunited.com/creatinedosage.html
