can you eat too frequtently? - Thursday, April 16, 2009 10:55 AM ( #1 )
I know you’re supposed to eat every couple hours, but is it possible to eat too frequently? I’m currently eating every hour... is this following list too much?

7:15am (after lifting):
IDS Smart Gainer w/ milk (65g protein)
9:30am (at work):
6 Egg hard boiled egg whites (30g)
10:30:
6 Egg hard boiled egg whites (30g)
11:30:
Handful of baby carrots
12:30:
Lots of low fat PB on pumpernickel bread (25g?)
1:30: Broiled Chicken Breast (35g)
2:30:
Grapes
3:30
Canned Tuna (25g)
4:30:
Apple
5:30:
Canned Chicken (50g)
7:30 (at home):
Home made protein bar (30g)

I’m 23 years old, 6”, and do A/B workouts 6 days a week. Am I eating too frequently?

eat whatever u like. but workout abs 3 days a week. they're also muscles and need recovery time. infact if they are over worked with no recovery time, it may affect the overall performance of compound lifts.

I would get sick of that diet fast, I would rather do some cooking and get a more balanced meal, but I can tell your carbs are really low.  You should be fine eating that often with that meal plan, however waht the crap is lowfat peanut butter.  Get some all natural stuff, and just use less of it if you want lower fat.

I think he is referring to an A/B split workout not abs.

i was referring to a Split A/B work out, sorry i should have been more clear....

and yeah, i've already gotten sick of this diet, but then i kinda got used to it. But i try to spice it up with a little garlic and sea salt on the broiled chicken breast, and i fry up the tuna in pam and Garlic and seasalt as well....

and "low fat" pb is just the skippy version of all natural pb, it's right next to the normal all natural stuff on the shelf and there's a little oil on the top that has to be mixed in. I'm sure it's not exactly the same, but it beats the regualr stuff i guess

but what else can i add for carbs? i mean, there's gotta be over 150 carbs in the protien mix and milk in the morning plus the carbs from the fruits/veggies and the pumpernickel bread...i use all natural pb and a scoop of protein mix for the home made protein bars...
