calves - Thursday, January 19, 2006 6:56 PM
im in high school and the weight room is very small. there is no calf raise machine so i was wondering what other exercises would help to build them up? reps and sets too.

I don't use calf raise machines either... and my calves are quite developed. Anyway, I recommend using a piece of wood or brick, or elevate yourself on stairs' steps. Do one leg calf raises.
 
Goes like this:
If you're working your right calves, hold a dumbbell with your left hands and support yourself to a wall or something similar with your right. Meaning, you hold the dumbbell with the opposite hand side of your body.
