calorie intake question - Thursday, May 15, 2008 7:58 AM
Sometimes (once or twice a week) i'll have a not so great high calorie meal for lunch.  Should I try and stay in my total calories for the day range and skip a meal or should i just finish the day eating what i primarily would?  I'm a pretty high metabolism guy which might influence one why or another.  Just not sure what would be better.

Don't skip a meal, just eat what you normally would but make the portion size slightly bigger or smaller depending on what you did earlier in the day. Definitely don't skip a meal!

Good luck.

if you're dedicated to your diet/calorie  range... and dedicated to lifting, you will see the results.

cheating a little bit here and there though will hinder the gaining progress.  i did the same thing you were doing.  wasn't getting the proper calories/day once in a while b/c i would take the easy way out.    now i'm making sure that i stay on track as far as my diet goes.. b/c if i slack on the calories for JUST ONE DAY... i end up losing weight. (my metabolism is fast just like yours)
