First its "gym" lol Also i would stick with low reps, ive found that works best for me when cutting. Just cut your rest periods down to aywhere from 45-60 seconds between sets. OH and most importantly DO NOT CUT BACK ON THE PROTEIN! if anything increase the protein to more than what you were taking in when you were bulking, cut your carbs back, and try to keep your fat intake to less than 100 grams a day, and make sure that fat is healthy fat. Also look into guerilla cardio, very tough but worth it.

Check out this thread for some good info on guerilla cardio. http://www.discussbodybuilding.com/Guerilla-Cardio-m23377.aspx I think the second post has a link to a pdf that is really good. Basically what you do is warm up for about 4 minutes, on a cardio machine of your choice. Then for the next 4 minutes you do intervals of 20 second sprints and 10 second sprints. You then finish with a 4 minute cool down. If you do it all out it is very beneficial but VERY challenging, i would recommend starting out doing it on a stationary bike then working your way up to actual sprints outdoors. As far as the exercises you do, i would stick with compound movements, they are going to release more key anabolic hormones than isolation, and if you cut your rest periods down then it will up your heart rate, just make sure to be safe and have a spotter. As for the BCAA's yes stick with them, when i cut i up the BCAA intake to 4 times a day (upon waking, pre and post workout, and before bed) but thats just me, might be overkill, idk lol.

Um it really depends for me as to how long a bulk or cut last. Ive done 4 month bulks before but the longest i really have ever cut is 2 months. However at the moment im working on a cut that will probably take me into july. From there i will probably start a bulk that will run till february of the next year. It really just depends on your goals. You have to set a goal for yourself and then determine how long it you expect it will take to reach it at a reasonable pace. That's what i've gathered from my experiences.

I also have mine set up so that i start looking pretty good at the beginning of the summer, aka beach season, and am progressively getting leaner as the summer goes on. Then by the time july or august rolls around i can start my bulk and by the time i start looking to pudgy its cold enough that i can cover it with clothes lol.
