Im 16 years old, and im about 170lbs 6ft, NO fat. i bench 150lbs x 10-15reps 5sets(MAX 175 1 time). i squat 280lbs x 4-5reps 3sets. bicep curls 35-45lbs x 10-12reps 4sets.thats the main stuff. Now to the point i see these kids that say they are 14-16 145-160lbs 5'7''-6'0'', and bench like 190-200. Is this bs, or am i just weak. ive been weight training for about a year now.
I take muscle milk, and i love it, i gain about 3-5lbs a month since ive been taking it.(2 months ago) i also took no explode 5 months ago, but when i stopped i couldnt lift as much.
If someone could give me some pointers it would be much obliged.

Start. 6ft, 150lbs 15years old

well theres no proving either way, but i personally think some of the people here have bullshitted with there stats, the mere chest measurements alone say it all, theyre either so small the sheer tensile mechanics of the muscle must be insane, or theyre body would be incredibly out of proportion like a certain 5ft 39 inch chested person aged 12 lol.

To me your stats sound quite solid and healthy, by no means are you weak, id say your lifts are definitely believable.

Strength and size do have a certain relationship, but it's not necessary to be big- Or older- to be that strong. I have seen young teenagers bench 200 pounds- It's definitely possible. I've seen people who rarely work out walk into the weight room at work and put my bench to shame- Some people are just naturally stronger than others.
Individual cases, no way to tell if they're bs or not, but it's definitely possible they're not.
In your case- How about posting your diet, how many calories a day you're getting, how many you need- If you don't know, check out this link.
http://www.discussbodybuilding.com/What_the_hell_is_a_calorie_anyway/m_135283/tm.htm
All you really listed was supps, which aren't the magic ingredient for muscle and strength without a good diet in place. Also, post your routine for each muscle group. I'm sure we can help up those numbers- But keep in mind, you should be competing against yourself, not these people who are naturally stronger.

not if its true muscle and not fat...how much protein isnt the question...protein isnt all you need to gain...shrek from what ive seen of you....you used roids and still didnt gain much but fat...id rather gain a pound of muscle over 4 pounds of fat a week...not to be rude but your mass is made up of mostly fat not muscle...he is talking about actually muscle gain not fat... anyone can gain alot if its not muscle then its gonna be fat...so does he want bigger gains with fat or lower with muscle...id say lower with muscle and less fat...

capone  dont worry about what you can lift worry more about proper form and nutrition..you will be bigger then the guys lifting way more then you can if you concentrate on proper form and nutrition

Sorry there holly, but I wouldn't take anyone's opinion who uses ellipses to end every sentence, it's actually more work................................Doesn't make much sense does it? Also, you haven't seen shrek without a shirt off without a bad camera.

I have still to this day never seen a 14 year old bench over 120lbs. There is a 6 ft 3 kid in my class who wieghs 230lbs who cannot even do 150lbs. Hell, I cannot even do 150, even though by my peers standards I have quite a bit of muscle hidden under 17% body fat. You may also want to look at your diet as well@topic poster. You do need protein as well as a certain amount of carbs and fat. Supplements make up like 3% of total gains or something. Now, I'm off to buy eggs for an omellete then I will be going to the gym. Later. :D

well when i was 14 i could bench press 130 pounds for a max, and people thought i was amazingly strongSmile most people aged 14 in fact 90 percent of people in my class couldnt bench 90 pounds! i always remmebr this one lad that said he could bench press 240 pounds. this was when we were 15, and he was so skinny i never believed him. so i invited him to come to the gym we got to the bench, and he said right al prove to you i can do it. so he loaded a 45 pound plate on each side. and repped it once. there we go 240 pounds he said told you i could do it!, i cudnt stop lafing turns out he thought the 45 pound plates were in kgs so he thought he was doing110 kg including the bar which is like 240 pounds! when i told him they were pounds and in fact his max was 130 pounds not 240 he didnt belive me so i got the gym trainer over. after the gym trainer came over he was so embarrassed!!!!! what a dumb assSmile

you need to know what your talking about before you knock someone...heres the definition for ellipsis

"ellipsis can be used to indicate a pause in speech, an unfinished thought or, at the end of a sentence, a trailing off into silence. Ellipses are sometimes used in this manner for internet chat, email, and forum posts"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ellipsis

so thats exactly how i use it...like it says it can be used in internet chat, email and forum posts...hmmmm isnt this a forum post lol...i think you need to know what your talking about before you make your self look like the stupid one.....sorry that you cant figure out how to read...thats just a habit of mine from chatting online and no i didnt go to college so that doesnt make me stupid on every subject...im not an english major and no i havnt seen his shirt off but you dont have to be a rocket scientist to see hes got alot of fat under it just by his face...anyways you need to know what your talking about before you rip on someones writing...proof read your post and you will find some errors...this isnt a writing forum...ive seen many of people that cant write for s*** but they know what there doing so i take there advice and it works

It's used that way by so called "n00bs" or "aolers". Are you finishing your thought? Yes. You are using it as a period. YOU need to learn how to read. Are you trailing off into silence? Most likely not, as that is used in books usually. If you aren't using it to finish your thought, you are using it to make a run on sentance, equally annoying.

If anyone checks any of my posts i use a lot of ellipses too, i do it out of habit now, as ive been typing for years and i have a thing for just clicking the mouse or tapping keys when thinking etc, as a result i type a lot of ellipses, I do not believe it has any direct effect on that persons knowledge.

HOLY ****, EINSTEIN USED AN ELLIPSES DURING ONE OF HIS DOCUMENTS ON SPECIAL RELATIVITY!

come on boys, lets destroy the lab, its all obviously wrong...

Riiiiight.

As long as no one net types im fine with ellipses, even when i didnt use them excessively

EDIT:DA and grantoiz have made me happy

Ive never seen someone as young as 13-16 bench that much either

Hell i now go to the gym with 5 people
1.my g/f
2.her 16 year old bro
3.One certain 17 year old friend
4.Another friend at 17
5.And another friend at 17

None of us can max over 150lbs

In fact i am the strongest at bench out of all of us, and my bench suxxors amazingly.
And one of these guys is 6'3" 200lbs 10% fat, and he struggles benching 100lbs right now.

Friday just gone i saw two 14 year old looking boys in the gym, and they were training with a 25kg bar with 5kg weights on it for a few reps, and adding 2.5kg plates on for the max, thats 88lbs for there max.

thank you...the only time i do it is on forums and chatting...its just a habit and ive never had someone make a big deal out of it but i guess this kids just got an attitude problem...if i wanted to pick people apart id go and tell people to spell right cause i see alot of bad spelling on here and everywhere on the net including in his post ripping on me he misspelled and had the nerve to rip on me lol....to each there own i guess....but im here to learn bodybuilding and nutrition and it just makes me mad when someone picks a fight over something that has nothing to do with bb like this kid is doing...anyways ive just learned to ignore people like him cause it will get you know where trying to tell someone something that thinks they know it all :)

on the topic now lol..anyways i know that to many people worry about how much they can lift...me for one use to do the same thing because you hear how much others say they can lift so you think you should beable to lift the same to get bigger...once i stopped worrying about how much i could lift and focused on lighter weight and good form within a few months i seen more gains then i did in 6 months and my max weight also went up drastically....so just dont worry about what others claim they can lift aslong as you know your pushing yourself and using good form

i think your maxing incorrectly because when i was doing 150 for the same amount of reps and sets as you i was max'd at 205

using a 1 rep max. calculator doing 10 reps at 150lbs it says you max 1 rep is 199 so yea i think you might beable to max more then what you think...when i was doing 150 8-10 reps i could max at 205 also like pink pony said but i guess it might depend on the person and the state your in when you do it...for you being only 16 though id say you can put up some good weight for your age...i dont ever see anyone at your age benching 150 so id say your doing good

" i see these kids that say they are 14-16 145-160lbs 5'7''-6'0'', and bench like 190-200."

benching 200 pounds at 16 isn't that impressive...it's not bullshit

my friend was able to bench 300 pounds at 16 and I was able to bench at least 330 pounds at 16.

yea im not doubting that anyone at 16 cant do it but just the majority of kids that age cant...so theres no need to be discouraged if your one of the majority who cant...i know when i was 16 i could always lift more then alot of the other kids could and it would p*** them off cause i never worked out so i was just natually strong...ive seen tons of guys that are huge but cant lift for s*** lol...so size doesnt mean much either...when i wrestled some of the smaller kids were alot stronger then the bulky kids and now that i fight mma its the same....dudes that dont have any muscle barely at all picking you up and slamming you like they were ripped lol

i was speaking to the gym owner at my gym who was giving me advice on chest excercises.  i asked him out of curiocity whats the heviest bench he had ever seen from a 16ish year old lad. he replied 'about 250lbs', and this is in 10 years of running the gym. i think only one in 100 16 year olds that train would do 300 pounds. Hell Alot of the lads i no probly wouldnt be able to do 110 pounds. but we are weak rwnd are endSmile

When I was 16 I could bench 250 and I knew 2 other 16 year old people at my school that could bech 250-260. Ive been lifting since I was 13.

Havent you ever seen that tv show "The Worlds Strongest Boy" he was like 9-10 years old and could bech 200 or 250 pounds I cant remember, he had been lifting since he was a a few years old. I think they said pound for pound he was the worlds strongest person, or strenght to his size or something.
