I've had this problem for a while now where my shoulders crack whenever I move them up too high or in a certain position. Also, every once in a while I have really sharp pains in my left shoulder when I use it too much or lay on it. I dont know whats wrong and if there is anything to do to fix them. Is it from working out?

wow thats interesting, I have the exact same problem. Well, not exactly.. my shoulder doesnt hurt when it cracks, but it is indeed irritating. Btw, I'm pretty sure this has nothing to do with nutrition lol.

Yea, same. I mean it doesn't hurt when it cracks but it is irritating. The only time it'll hurt is when I have those time where I havea sharp pain out of nowhere. But mostly its annooys and irritates me throughout the day

I have had shoulder problems myself but have managed to reduce the severity somewhat after several years. I hope what worked for me in the end might help. Others might add or verify. Pinpointing the problem in shoulder injuries is difficult due to it being quite a complex set of mechanics. The shoulder joint forms a ball and socket and the rotator cuff tendons stabilise the movement of the shoulder. When the arm is raised the head of the joint glides downward to avoid pinching these tendons against the roof over the joint. However, these tendons are relatively very weak in comparison to what the deltoid is capable of lifting and when a weight is lifted which the rotator cuff cannot handle, the delicate mechanics go wrong. Simply, repeated use of the shoulder like this will cause injury. Its important to kept ALL muscles equally developed for well rounded form. Muscles respond much quicker to exercise than tendons do so go slowly with the progression. In my opinion, if you are trying something new, take care to feel comfortable in the movement over several sessions, the smaller muscles or tendons involved may not be ready for it. And keep muscles flexible. Rest didn’t cure my shoulder problems but seemed to worsen them. After ten years of living and training with pain, nothing improved until I used light weights to target the pain. The best one was an inclined seated front raise with 5kg in each hand. I tried various motions which focused on the rotation of the shoulder more than raising it. An ex Rugby international and now a physio showed me some general exercises but none worked as well as using my own judgement to pinpoint the problem area. Coincidently, I also took a glucosamine, chrondroitin vitamin mixture at the same time. Three weeks later the problems were much, much better. Some joint cracking still remains in some movements but it feels so much healthier.

i had that problem..it felt like if i cracked it, it would feel 100 times better. I took a 10 pound weight and stretched out my rotator cuff and lifted my arm to the point where it ususally cracked. Sure enough it popped once and felt great, since then it hasn't bothered me since..i just keep an eye on it and dont push my luck.
