bicep tendon injury!?

Well i hit the gym and i was gaining muscle and increasing weights... I guess I increased my weight to high... With out proper stretching and a bad form i hurt my bicep tendon... For the next week i felt dull abnormal aches which frusterated me to the point of curling... Right when i picked up the dumbell and curled i had a very very sharp intense pain in my shoulder. For the nxt 3 weeks i faced inflamation etc.. Its been about 2 months since i have done any type of lifting and now i have a lot of twitching in that area, and it has gotten better but i still feel it a little... should i try to hit the gym again, how long does this stuff take to heal!?
