I just wanted to see what everyone's favorite basketball moves are whether it's down in the post, off the dribble, when moving without the ball, or in the triple threat position. Just want to give everyone feedback on different types of moves people like to use. Also, if you can give a description on how to do the move, it would be helpful. If anyone has any good basketeball websites that would be cool too. thanks.

Favorite move is an alley oop off the backboard on a fastbreak. Since I barley ever get to use it lol, my go to move is a baby hook in the post. Get you defender on your back on one of the low blocks. If he fronts you look for a lob pass. Once you catch the ball, get a feel for where he is playing you. Slightly dip your shoulder and hips to act like your going to spin without moving your foot. Then quickly pivot the other way 90 degrees and put up a little hook shot. Hard shot to block if you do it quickly even for taller guys. Combine this will a good drop step. http://www.coachesclipboard.net/PostMoves.html This site can probably explain the moves better because it has videos. Knowing you to pump fake and go up and under will also help in the post.

my favorite move from the post, when I was young enough that only being slightly above average height still allowed me to play frontcourt, and when I was into it more was a simple drop step. Easy to learn and if you do it right gives you an easy basket and sometimes will almost cause the defender to be thrown off balance.

I'm 6'6 and play in a few different leagues. I'm gonna have to go old school here and say the up and under. There is nothing like faking a jump hook... watching the defender fly by in the air, then step through and lay it in. Most guys are too focused on blocking your shot and looking cool and go for that shot fake 8 out of 10 times.

I play D3 and I've been using a move since sophomore year of high school that works to get past your defneder almost every time. Do a common jabstep in one direction and go the other (most of the time it ends there) but only take one dribble before crossing over back to the direction you jabstepped.

best moves by far are pass and cuts so simple but soooooooooo effective. makes you feel good too when u pass cut recieve it while beating 3. Also playing low post, a move our team calls the "bumchuck" its just the simple open up the key, post up low, feed it to him, does a simple spin move, works everytime even if the know its coming. my REAL fav tho was my fast breaks :D no one could catch me lol
