bench question - Thursday, December 29, 2005 10:19 AM ( #1 )
So last week I did all my sets and reps last week at this weight 3x6@235 3x3@265. So my workout tells me that I raise the sets to 240-265. So I bump it to that and today I rep it off and do 2x6@240, 1x5@240, 1x2@265, 2x3@250. I dont get that. I mean could this be a factor of many things? I dint have a big breakfast (like i usually do), i wasnt used to the equipment, I ususally dont lift that early in the morning, my uncle told me that all the new weights tick on the heavy side. I mean I dont think its that Im plateauing becasue last time I did 225 9 times after my sets but then this time I did 8. So I also think that is some things that I mentioned. BUt I could use some comments to make me feel better if im right

Thats a very good idea. I sometimes feel like I have trouble in getting psyched. I'll try this technique of yours.

About a month ago I was weightlifting for football, and i forgot my lunch so i didn't eat lunch.  ( i eat at 5 a.m. and had practice at 3)  I have a really fast metablism and i didn't have as much strength as i usasualy did.  So meals do factor in when lifting or anything physical.
