Hello all Im new here and just a couple weeks ago decided to get back into shape. Im 24 6ft around 200 pounds. I used to lift when i was a teen but just lately realized I back then was highly overtraining and did not have enough nutrition. Basically I need some advise , I will tell you my plans and nutrition and then hope to get some good advise/critisizm from you guys here. I just recentlly decided to get back in shape and first thought of getting some steroids to help out and make gains quickly. I was too confused with all the different types of steroids and there side effects so I looked at alternatives. Long story short I ended up buying a bottle of Equi-Bolan from impact nutrition wich is probably a scam but I figured id give it a try. I then ordered a 6 pound tub of whey protein, and a 3 month supply of creatine. As far as my training schedule goes I havnt started training yet but was told that overtraining is bad and was given a training routine that involves 20-30 minutes a day of low rep /high intesity weight training - 3 days a week that focuses on different body parts each workout. I plan on taking equi-bolan 1 hour before workout, and protein shake with creatine right after workout, along with a second shake in the evining and 3 good meals a day. Also a multivitamin in the morning and a gallon or more of water a day. Does this training seem good for a beginner or are there any thing I should change or consider???? Thanks everyone in advance.

What you should change is this- Drop ALL of those supps right now. Looking for the quick road to gains is going to be a disappointment to you- What you need to know is there are three basic rules to building muscle. EAT TRAIN REST That's it. You need to be eating five or six meals a day- Post something about your eating habits in the nutrition section to get some serious help there, and make sure you do some reading in that forum while you're at it- Supplements are called supplements because they're meant to supplement a great diet- Not replace one. I don't care what claims a supp makes, there's just no substitute for good, clean muscle building food. Forget steroids, you know they're crap, and they can seriously screw up your life- You need to build a good, solid base of nutrition, training and rest- Then worry about what supps you want to try out. Look at it this way- If you start out taking three different supps that cost you, let's say a total of 100 dollars a month- How will you know if they're all working for you? Did you know that there's a certain percentage of people who don't respond at all to creatine, for example? How would you know if that was you if you started out taking a whole bunch of stuff at once? The way I see it, if you're interested in starting out clean, fix your diet first. Get on the proper type of nutrition plan to build muscle, and allow your body a few weeks to adapt to it- Then, the first supp you should add to it is your protein shake- It's an absolute must have. Give this a couple of months, but don't expect any miracle gains from it- It's just an excellent way to get protein into your system, especially right after a workout when it's needed the most. It's not a magic pill, but then again, no such thing exists anyway. After a couple of months of eating like an animal and taking the protein shakes, now go ahead and try creatine- Pay close attention to see how it affects you. If you respond, then you know it's worth it- If nothing really changes, well, don't waste any more money. And that's about it- Unless you're thinking about taking other stuff that would be purely beneficial to your body, you know- Healthy supps. Not steroids, or their counterparts. Multivitamins? Sure. Anything that claims to be as close to possible as steroids but is legal? Forget it. Treat your body right, it'll treat you right. We all want gains as fast as possible, but you have to do it the right way- Patience plays a big part in this game.

thanks for the response, I will workout for one week with no supplements then start with the protein shake for a couple months. When I do start taking creatine what type of gains should i look for to know if its working or not? I already bought the steroid supps-would it hurt to just take one or two right after workout instead of the 6 pills a day?

Forget the Equi Bolan. Like I said in my post, concentrate on your eating first, then introduce one supp at a time over time- We're talking two or three months per supp, just to watch and see how your body responds. If you start taking one or two pills after your workout, you're never going to know where your gains are coming from- The food, the protein shakes, the creatine- Or the Equi Bolan pills, which you shouldn't be messing with anyway. It sounds like you don't really know what they are- They're a pro-hormone, which has been banned in the U.S. There are potential side effects that you wouldn't want to mess with, and I would never recommend that anyone take them, personally- But those that do take them normally know what the hell they're all about. You can't just run out and buy supps because of what the bottle says it can do for you, and then put them in your system- Not smart at all. Prohormones are normally sought after by people who have been lifting for a few years and really want the extra edge because of a plateau or something- And beginners who don't know what they're doing. While there are dangers associated with both, the people with more experience are far less likely to run into problems. The beginners? Well, most of the time, they're the reason stuff like prohormones get banned- Because they don't know what they're doing with them, and tend to ignore the warning labels. Leave that crap alone, at least for now- Concentrate on eating right and training hard. I'm sure you already know that's the best way to get the goals you want, you probably just want to believe that those pills are going to make it all easier and quicker.

Yeah your right, I wanted to cheat and either get steroids or steroid alternatives to get big quick and then continue training for maintenance but I guess I probablly should work for my goals the good old fashioned way.

Absolotely- And the thing about steroids is, once you take them, you have to keep taking them if you want to retain any of the size you got from them- There's just no way you can maintain those gains from just eating right and working out. Check out this link for some great info as well as a great workout plan- Twin Peak really knows his stuff. If you stick with that sort of diet plan and training routine, you should see some good, solid visible results in two or three months or so- I know it sounds like a long time, but anything worth working for is worth waiting for, right? And those gains you'll see- They won't be temporary, provided you keep up the hard work. In fact, they just keep getting better. Also, you'll notice strength increases within the first few weeks as your body learns to use the muscle it already has to perform the exercises- So instead of checking yourself in the mirror at first for accomplishments, check the amount of weight you can lift as a sign of progress instead. Good luck!
