I didn't know you were cutting too Nmoney.  Are your lifts suffering because of it?  My a** is really being whooped.

Would 2 weeks really cut that much? I mean based on the 1-2lbs a week your gonna lose 4lbs? Otherwise your losing muscle no? Lower carbs dude, your gut will shrink just from not being bloated. I definitely think you should cut longer you'd look amazing with your size!

We'll see if I continue to cut.  I was just trying to slim down a little bit for this tropical cruise I'm going on where there's gonna be mad hot chicks running around.  I really like training for strength though, so a long-term cut really wouldn't be benefical for me.

No need to do a long-term cut anyway... dropt he cals, up the cardio and burn the fat off as soon as possible.. you're not going to really worry about losing actual muscle mass until you get down below 9% or so anyway.. assuming you're still training hard and eating a somewhat high protein diet.. might as well go for it and get the fat off and start the cycle all over again..

My thoughts exactly Smoundzou.  Simply switching from my horrible diet to the one I'm doing now + the Tabata stuff should work wonders (check out my question in Training if you get a chance please.  Thanks man!!)

Ahh my bad, you training for strength. So cleaning things up and adding cardio should be good to go, no need to adjust calories etc that way too I guess?

yeah im cutting, I started to take creatine again now too, and I have to admit its helping me in the gym. But yeah my strength feels weaker now but thats expected with the lack of calories and carbs.

Gonna start taking some bcaa's again as well, but I had a discussion with smoundzou and getting it off asap seems to be working fairly well for me, im a little exhausted from all the cardio, and lack of calories...im not starving myself, but im defenitly at an extreme defecit.

"If I lost like 10 - 15 lbs. I'd look pretty jacked"

Umm.. you might just look average to be honest.. Before you even get vascular my guess is your going to have to lose atleast 20lbs.   Your BF% is really high.

Through your cut the first 10 - 15lbs sucks cause you don't see that much of a change but you are smaller.   It's something you just have to experience Bri.  You can't just say if I lost this I would look like this until you have actually gone through the experience.  Maybe you would?  Maybe you wouldn't.. Odds are being through it my self, you wouldn't.  You would just notice your chest looking a bit more skulpted..

There are so many details your lacking right now and know one knows where your going to lose the fat first.

see right now you can't see,  your upper chest , your front deltoids, seperation in your arms, veins, obilques, abs etc.. There are so many muscles that you can't even see through the extra lbs.    I think you have chosen a good time to cut!  Just go with it man and if you feel your getting too much weaker or too small change up the diet like twisted said and just kinda maintain your Body weight.   Your only going to gain so much muscle so fast anyways.

Judging by the picture your waist might be in the 36 - 37 range also.. so the majority of your Body weight is sitting in your middle.

Re:before my 2-week cut pics - Wednesday, January 14, 2009 8:38 PM ( #44 )
Thats pretty spot on the first part of the cut is the worst, simply because you look smaller but not much change yet.

I am starting to see small subtle changes but nothing major yet, im going into my 3rd week, and only 1 week of following smoundzou's advice which is going very well. lost about 8 lb's so far as of tonight.

the cool thing is I have a before pic/ avatar, some before pics of that not sure when...and I found a pic of me a few years ago so when I get done with this I can string together some transformation pics hopefully.

Lol, I'm not trying to get vascular, cut, ripped, etc...none of that lol.  I'm only trying to lose a few lbs.

I'm eating clean now, and I'm doing tabata for cardio, and I'm continuing to train heavy and low reps....

But I agree with you guys, if I was trying to get down to single digit bf, then yes, I would need to cut for a much longer time and lose more then 15 lbs.

2 weeks is the amount of time before my cruise Rippedchick.

No offense taken.  I'm looking different already.  Maybe it's just mental.  I wanted to start eating clean anyway, so no harm in starting now.

Leaving out of Miami, Florida then going to some place in Mexico, then Belize, then some other carribian islands.  I think that's it.

Dude, you're going from Miami to Mexico and then back to the Carribian?  How long is this cruise going to be???

Damn right I'm gonna be pimpin hos left and right.

It's a 7 day cruise, I'm not sure what the order is for where we go first.  Mexico may be the middle of the week, I dunno.

Re:before my 2-week cut pics - Thursday, January 15, 2009 1:00 PM ( #52 )
Actually I really thought of it and in terms of bodybuilding you probably shouldn't cut at all..  You might seriously want to consider dieting though because your BF% is going to be un healthy.

See this is the what happend to me I was 215 at around 14% BF meaning I had 185lbs of muscle not including bones internal organs etc.. it's just a ratio.

Then I cut to 192 at 8%  leaving me at 177lbs of muscle..

at 210 and 20+ % BF you only have about 168lbs of muscle on your frame anyways and then when you cut your going to lose some of that.. by the time you were vascular and ripped you would only have probably 140lbs of muscle on your frame..

Got alot of work to get jacked..  You might want to consider all of that though as far as your progress is concerned.  a clean diet is going to help far more

Re:before my 2-week cut pics - Friday, January 16, 2009 7:05 AM ( #53 )
I dont see tha point of cutting for this short.  If you just wanna lean up a tiny bit i think you should just cut out all carbs for about a week before you go and take some diuretics.  Those two things will get rid of a lot of water weight and make you look way leaner.

You said you look leaner and it might be in your head.  Well its not.  When you first start cutting you lose a lot of water weight and it makes you look better pretty fast.

I think you should cut though, and continue through and after your vaca.

Sorry i know everyones been saying this and you already said you dont really want to keep cutting but its a bodybuilding forum so i guess youre getting a lot of bodybuilding advice.

I'm not sure even an actual "cut" is necessary. I think just keeping your diet very clean and working some cardio into your strength training will work wonders for ya, and shouldn't effect your strength all that much.
