Damn. It's interesting to see that you started out as a fatass. What's the trick to getting so lean? I'd try your crazy diet, but I don't know if I can eat that many almonds.

I wouldn't say that he was a fatass starting out, he just was pretty out of shape with no muscle whatsoever.

thanks for all the kind words guys!! Gzinkl, I'm 22 years old at the moment As for the diet, you can't follow that exactly and expect it to work for you. I am an oddity in bodybuilding in that carbs and I just DON'T mix. I normally eat less carbs than whats in that diet!! I like to get 60% of my calories from fat, 35% from protein, and 5% from carbs(my carb sources being almonds, peanutbutter, and small amounts of green leafys) Try taking your bodyweight, then multiply it by 13, this will give you a good amount of calories to cut with.

Is that your cutting diet or just the diet you follow all the time?

\ i dont change much between a cutting diet and a bulking diet, just the amount of calories.

ORIGINAL: VaughnTrue why? i love it Good question. Ok, that settles it, I'm gonna give keto a try sometime next year. It'll give me a chance to pig out on some foods that I like but can't much of right now, like cheese and nuts.

Your a great inspiration Vaughn. Congradulations on everything... I started lifting because of football, but the more and more I lift the more and more I want to get that "perfect" body. I would love to have that look, best of luck to you in your future shows!

Small problem - no toast to put the peanut butter on, and no crackers for the cheese.

This is such a good story! Congratulations Vaughn. I read over the BB.com post and I'm really happy for you. As much as you might not have dreamed you'd be at the level you are, I can't say that I ever thought DB would be so influential. Thanks for sharing this. It's amazing and you've got the genetics and the determination.

It's amazing and you've got the genetics and the determination. Although I am not a regular here as often as I once was, I always tell EVERYONE this is the place to come for the basics and then some. I owe my nutrition knowledge to this place and do my best to give whatever I can back. To everyone who thinks this is a great transformation, you ain't seen nothin yet. But seriously...ANYONE can do this. My genetics are nothing special...all it comes down to is my diet/consistancy in the gym. I dont miss days and I dont miss meals. If you work hard enough, you can easily reach this type of transformation or MUCH further. You guys are the best -Vaughn

Did you go through a bulking phase first, or did you just cut from 270 down to 190? Also, did you cut with keto the whole time?

thats why I'm envious of big people lol...cuz all you gotta do is lose the fat and you already have the mass for body building. For me I started out with being around 115 lbs, and had to work my way up instead of down. Still workin on that
