i have been working out for almost 2 years, and i do not see any significant improvement in my arm size, especialy for the last six months. It lookes bigger and more cut, but when measured its the same size as 6 moths ago, I just turned 17 could that have anything to do with it. Can anybody give me some advise on how to get them bigger?
Thanks

it depends, it could be many things.  have you gone up any weight?  do you change your routine frequently? also, are you on any supplements?

Do you do strength workouts or mass? If you do strength you won't see much difference in a while unless you have a really low body fat. But if you do mass then you should see a great improvement. I'm guessing you're doing the strength workout, so my suggestion is switch to mass. Also, post your workout routine so that we can help you more.

Please post your strength workout routine, from there you can try lowering weight a little and lets say instead of dong 6 or 8 reps per set, do 10-12, that should give you mass.

  • That's not always true, it depends on his body type.  For me, i respond more to 4-8 reps than 10-12.
  • It takes a while to figure out what your body responds to.  It took me several months, and now i know rep range and set numbers my body responds to as well as what exercises.
  • I have read that for every 15 pounds of mass put on, an inch is added on your arms
  • Do you do squats?  If not, you are only limiting your results.  Doing squats significantly increases the level of natural growth hormone your body produces, thus increasing the gains you will make all over your body.

I agree, thats a very good point.. I just suggested what to start with, but I'm sure sooner or later he'll pick his own routine and stick to it.

How big are your arms? What is the tricep size?

I was in the same situation as you a while ago, what helped me was changing up my arm routine by adding in a preacher curl. Also target the long head of the bicep, if all else fails check your diet.
