argh chest - Wednesday, October 25, 2006 8:28 PM
my chest is pretty weak and its often a topic of discussion when working out is mentioned with my friends. its extremely annoying and i've been working hard on it. i treat it like my triceps . i work it out 1 a week. my friends say that thats not the proper way and i should be hitting it 5 times, at least, a week. i bench and i do free weights. what should i do?any help on how to make my chest bigger is appreciated.

my first advice is train your chest twice a week.
i'm 19
incline bench press 160lbs 100reps
incline dumbells curl 100lbs 2 reps
stiff leg deadlift 220lbs 100reps

but I can't give u any other advices if u don't tell me the number of sets u do,your reps range,and the exercises your doing...what I can do is propose a workout to u :

Chest Monday
Incline Bench Press 15-20 reps 3sets
Incline Dumbells Press 10-15 reps 2sets
Bench Press 6-8reps 3 sets

Chest Friday
Dips or weighted Dips 8-10 reps 3 sets
Decline Bench Press 10-12 reps 3 sets
Cable cross over 12-15 reps 3 sets

i'm 19

Hey what's up bud. Once a week is fine, it's just a matter of how hard your working and how much time your giving it to rests. Try this, in order to get that chest bigger and stronger

Do Bench press 5x5. Use the same weight for every set and when ever you complete 5sets of 5reps add 5 pounds the next week.

See were you are in 8 weeks.
