What are you trying to accomplish? Build endurance? Build strength? Build mass? A combination?

The answer is, no- No one can really tell you how much weight you should be lifting. Everyone's different, so you have to find out what your own body can handle- Start out with real light weight on all your exercises, and week by week, increase the weight until you get to the point where you can't lift it more than ten times before your arms start to get shaky and you no longer have proper form. This way, you learn the proper form as you get your muscles used to the idea of lifting heavier weights.
I see you've asked in other posts about getting ripped- You have to be a little more specific. Are you trying to add muscle, or get that really ripped look at your current size? You posted this in the powerlifting and strength forum too, so your goals are a little unclear. Let us know.

You may want to go for mass and strength before definition.

Squat, benchpress, deadlift, lat pulldowns, military press, bent over rows and calf raises would be the meat and potatos of your workout.

Squat:

Benchpress:

Deadlift:

Lat pulldowns:
Couldn't find this one.......

Military press:

Bent over row:

Calf raises:

These are some of the only exercises I use in my workout.
