Well i have been weight lifting for 2 years and finialy got my friend into weight lifting. I know how everyone has diffren't goals but my friend doesn't seem to want to bulk up or anything. He just uses small weights and for the past two months hasn't gotten stronger. I tell him he needs to use large weight (8-10 reps) with 6 meals a day but he just sticks with small weights, also he eats way too much junk food and doesn't get enough proteins, carbs etc.. Anyone know how i can get my friend on track?

You want the motivation speech that has you trying to pump your friend up or reality... Lead by example and don't pester! Either your friend has desire or you friend does not. You be excited that your friend is there to support you, be a good friend and just educate without preaching. Make it easy to be there, not hard, not a chore. Say how good you feel and how much energy you have, how strong you feel...occasionally when you Do feel it. If you worry about the junk, say you worry. Be real. Educate do not preach! Find alternatives your friend will like for the junk and introduce it. This shows you care. Most of all, don't persecute your friend for being who they are. Who knows what their passion is...do you? Do they even care at all about muscles, size, strength, health... do they think about it at all...maybe not. What do they think about? Maybe they are there because they feel they are suppose to work out, which is not a bad idea, but they are not into it...turn on the music, enjoy the camaraderie, make it a fun rewarding space, have YOUR style shake or meal ready after so they get at least a good after workout meal. Make it fun for them too... Know what I'm saying?
