How DiscussBodybuilding.com Came About
In April 2003, DiscussBodybuilding.com became a reality. Over
the course of a few short months, what was just a fledgling bodybuilding forum,
has grown to a good number of real, participating users who contribute and take
information with them. It's been a huge learning experience for both the users
and the administrators. With the help of our dedicated moderators, there's a lot
of time, effort and debate that goes on in this forum.
A little before April, Marc David, owner of Freedomfly wanted to have a forum on
his site. Yet another forum? Another bodybuilding forum? Why keep re-inventing
the wheel when he could collaborate and attempt a joint partnership. But with
who? And how do you get somebody you don't know to believe in your ideas?
Kris Anderson, owner of Supplements101 also wanted a bodybuilding forum, but had
no time to devote to it's design and take-off as Supplements101 took most of his
time.
A few notes were exchanged, both parties kept and open mind and
DiscussBodybuilding became a reality. It was the trust between two people that
had never meet but knew each other well enough to know that with a little
effort, this forum would eventually become one of the top visited sites. It was
a rare occurrence that two people come together, with a common dream and work as
a team both pulling their weight.
Over the course of a few months, DiscussBodybuilding has been a success. We've
helped some people figure out their goals. We've recruited some moderators with
the same enthusiasm we had when this was started. A few very talented people
have graced us with guest moderation and great advice. As a beginner, if you
stumble across this site, you would be in for a real treat.
As the months go on, ideas keep flowing, open-minds are welcomed and the
exchange of ideas in a good forum debate continues to thrive. What will make
this a success is the fact that people come here with questions and leave with a
lot of experience and ideas of how to further increase their understanding of
the fitness related sports.
We thank you for visiting DiscussBodybuilding and hope you enjoy your visits.
Sincerely,
Marc David & Kris Anderson
