my gym partner recently gave up and im going to the gym myself now with noone to spot , i somewhat enjoy this because i dont waste time scocializing and focus more on getting it done.

however , being that i dont have anyone to spot , after the first set i struggle to get my reps to 10 , im doing 8-10 reps 3-4 set because im trying to bulk up to 185-200 from 155 .

my question is this ,   if i use a certain weight that i can get to ten with the 1st set  , and lets say the second set i can only get to 5-6-7-8 or whatever and immidiately put down the weight and grab  next lightest down from it and complete the set is that called a super set? and is that what i wanna do for bulking up and gaining mass?
seems to have the same priciple of a spotter to help with the last few . so is this a good idea to do or should i just shop around for a spotter.

A superset is two or more exercises (normally two differnt body parts) in a row, then a rest break.

You are talking about stripping the weight. This is to total fatigue a muscle. Normally you would do this on the final set of the body part.

If you do not have someone to spot you work out on machine so you don't drop a bar on you head. go lighter on the first set and aim for no more that 6 - 8 reps on the last set.
