I just started taking Zinc Mononethionine Aspertate 4 days ago. No weird side effects yet. Has anybody else tried it?

You are wasting your money, unless you have a zinc deficiency.

Well, from what I read, ZMA just doesn' t do much beyond helping you sleep better. If you diet is deficient in and of the ingredients, then ZMA will help, but otherwise it doesn' t do anything for muscle growth. If you are taking a multi-vitamin/mineral then you already have that area covered. I think somebody (the infamous somebody) said that the study behind ZMA used college football players who were on the " beer and pizza" diet. I also have read tons of messages on the internet by people who have used ZMA with no effects on their growth. It helps some people sleep better, but that is it.

No, the study was done on those deficient in zinc. And it showed that by supplementing with ZMA, testosterone levels were raised. This does not happen unless you have a zinc deficiency.

So if you are taking a good multi-vitamin supplement.. and not the exception.. you shouldn' t be deficient in Zinc. Therefore, it' s pretty much worthless for the average, normal, Zinc normal person. What about the sleep part? I' ve heard it induces a more, relaxing, deep sleep from people who take it. Then again, maybe they were so relaxed and believed it would help, they were fine. I took it. Did nothing for me. Except it did help me.. well.. go #2 a lot better.. as a laxative would. [:' (]

Exactly. I have heard the same reports as to sleep. Could be the ZMA, could be placebo, we don' t know. I personally noticed nothing.

Not even.. the effects of the Magnesium? That is what got me hooked on 2 bottles... until I figured out that eating 200+ grams of protein required me to drink 1+ gallons of water on a daily basis. Once I figured that out.. I kicked the ZMA.. need better sleep? Go to bed earlier.
