Your #1 song in the rack - Thursday, November 05, 2009 11:02 AM ( #1 )
I'm sure most of us would agree that the squat is the single toughest exercise we can do.  It's us against gravity basically... when you're ready to hit the heaviest set of squats, what is the one song you need to push you through the last grueling reps?

Oroborus by Gojira.  That's my entry music for my powerlifting meets.  That's one badass song.

You have to select entry music for a powerlifting meet?  Who knew?

I think I'll play Gonna Fly Now when I get in bed tonight and see what happens:

Trying hard now
it's so hard now
trying hard now

Getting strong now
won't be long now
getting strong now

Gonna fly now
flying high now
gonna fly, fly, fly...

;)

Srsly,
I'm so focused on concentration these days that I don't was music as a distraction.  My deep breathing and grunting, and dropping bars must really be p1ssing people off.

I lose focus when I listen to music during squats or deadlifts. Everything else I usually got some Hollywood Undead or Young Jeezy going. Any kind of hip-hop usually does me.
Everytime I get on this forum, I get a craving for peanut butter.

To workout IT HAS TO BE some hardcore heavy metal...there's no other choice for an amazing workout...even if you dont usually listen to that kind of music thats the only stuff that can really boost adrenaline and give you that one or two last reps on every sets!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PWhxCB0ndJE

Haha nice.  It'd been a while since I was last Rickroll'd.

I don't have a song just for squats.  I just put on some music and go.  Usually it's hip hop, Modeselektor, or Queens of the Stone Age.  Recently I've been getting into dubstep.  Caspa & Rusko's Fabriclive 37 is becoming a regular.
