You ever bought a supplement and felt a little ripped off and lied to? - Thursday, February 16, 2006 12:29 PM
You ever took a supplement and felt a little ripped off and lied to?    For the most part I have been happy with most of the supplements I have purchased over the last 8 months.  The only supplement that never really responded for me is the Muscletech CEE Pro's........  I am not here to bash products, just want your opinions of supplements that didn't respond for you.  A supplement that doesn't respond for me might respond for you and vice versa.

Yes.  I once purchaed Growth Factor 1 from www.anabolicsteroids.com and it turned out to be steroids in a disguise!  In fact, I think they were a mix of steroids based upon my reactions to different pills in the same bottle. They called it Growth Factor 1 to play off all the great scientific research being done with regard to Insulin-like Growth Factor 1, except it has none in it!

I'm still kind new to supplements...But I adopted them as a rather large part of my nutritional plan because well, gotta face the facts! It's hard to get everything you need these days just from food. And to make some of the gains you need or wants to make through bodybuilding you need a little extra help, you know what i mean? Through natrual means of course. Steroids I wouldn't touch, just way to many freakin things I don't wants to mess with.

I like my testicles, myth or fact...Don't want to find out lol. Plus I can't compete or anything...

Many many times.  Too many to actually give you a real number.

It seems like most supplements are a complete ripoff.  I haven't had much luck.  Other than protein, creatine, and making my own ECA stack, I never found anything that worked.  I've been disappointed many times....

just here recently i bought xyience xelerate, and i felt none of the things it offered, but when i went to the tape to see if it worked over a period of 10 days, id say it did boost my regular results up. i only lost 1 pound! but i lost 4 1/2 inches. half way through using it, i added 1000mg of ginseng and a good vitamin along with 2000mg of fish oil. incase you couldnt tell, i am trying to loose weight. but i still workout and take protein supplements, by 6 star, which has actually impressed me.

Only back in my "newbie" days.  Just by doing some research on the product, and looking at the ingredient profile should be able to give you a good idea if the supplement is worth your money or not.

I know Creatine works, Glutamine, Amino Acids, Protein Powder, Multi-Vitamins.   Those are pretty much the 5 basics I do believe.   It gets crazy when you get these other products that go beyond the basics, when they got 20 different things in them and claim to turn you into the hulk and promise so much.   No Xplode is real and it really works it's an exception and the Shock Thearpy I have tried worked very well also.   Muscletech like to promise the Sun and the Moon and then you take their product and you're like I don't feel like I am even on anything. HA HA
