I have a friend who I work out with and he's a wrestler. At 121, he's trying to cut down... I've been watching him, and the guy's always eating salad and diet coke! Question is, can he keep cutting to hit a weight class and keep his strength, or can he successfully maintain his strength for the state champs in a month?

I'm in wrestling (at 135 currently), I've got a friend who's at 115 or something off-season but goes down to 103...of course, he did that to go to state.

I dont think he is doing a real smart thing, Human body has needs like calcium, carbohydrates, energy, fiber, folate, iodine, iron and many more things that salad and diet coke cant give. Its very important to eat fruits, vegetables, bread products, meat products, and milk products.... Human body needs all that. I wouldnt be suprised if he got a serious sickness. Every different thing you eat helps a different part of your body
