Im sure you have answered enough of these so ill make it quick.

I am 21 y/o 5' 11" 200 lbs i work in emergency services so being fit is important. i am wanting to get back into shape for my job sake and personal life. I am wanting to get back into total shape muscle cardio the whole works. I have a total gym (the one chuck norris advertises), is it a good machine to use? 2nd, running or riding which is better for cardio? I will work on eating right as i go on as that will be the toughest task yet.  if u could help me devise a good schedule  to get me back in great shape it would help tremendously.

I am gonna assume that overall firness with some muscle gain is the goal here..

That gym is good.

As for diet training and cardio...read this post and then caom back here with any specific questions! 

Obviously YOU want to use cardio...questions of what is better...Nothing.
You need to stick with one for a while and then switch when you need to up the intensity.

Read the cardio section of the post linked below to understand the variations you can use to get the BEST from your cardio!
