Still new to the forum, and i'm trying to read as much as I can to keep from asking dumb questions. Smile  But I was still wondering if it is ok to workout everyday just not the same muscles?  Or workout every other day?  Or 72 hours?  As of lately I've been working out everyday, since I started lifting I can't stop I find it addicting lol.  Smile

Nevermind found the answer:

quote:

1 - Training frequency.

My recommendation is train 2 days on, 1 day off.  Training
more then 2 days in a row is very difficult if not
impossible for the natural person to recover from.  When
you simply break up your routine, you are allowing for more
recovery time and thus allowing for your body to get
stronger and better.

If you are new to lifting, then you can start with training the whole body every other day with 1 exercise and 1-3 sets per bodypart, up to 45 minutes total lifting.

Then as you become more experienced you vary the routines into 2-day splits and 3-day splits to be able to fit the routine into a 45 inute window and increase the intesnity.

Sometimes it is OK to train in unconventional ways for short durations to tweak the body!

depends on your fitness level and goal, daily is fine but work up to it.
