How long does it usually take to see muscle expanding outwards in the bicep area? I've only been in the gym for around 1 month now, but I'm interested in knowing when your body decides to increase your muscle mass so that your arms become wider. I consider myself somewhat small-boned so that might prevent me from getting very big arms. I notice the hardness of my biceps has been gradually increasing, but the actual size of my arms look the same. Am I doing something wrong?

They will become harder before they become bigger. Takes time my friend. What and how much you eat will decide whether they get bigger also.

Alot of it depends on your body type and how strong you were before. Also yes your diet makes a big difference

Not doing anything wrong at all xero. More than likely your arms will get slightly smaller as the muscles get tighter and you loose some fat. Then as the muscle fibers get denser, you'll have the building blocks in place to get the bigger/wider arms. Stick with it though and be persistent becuase it does not happen over night! Smile
