Why am I so feather light with high body fat?

Ive always been like this. A weird cross between an endo and ectmorph. Totally scrawny with a skinny phsique, but loaded with flabbyness. Ive been working out for two years now, and although I am much more muscular, I still cannot hide my fat deposits that have been with me for life, primarily my gut, love handles, and chest fat/small boobs. (Not gyno). Now, Im pretty sure I know the dieting to lose the fat, but I must ask-WHY am I like this to begin with? I only weigh 152lbs, but Im still fat! And when I was 135lbs back in high school, I was STILL fat, even though I ran miles a day on the cross country team and was constantly on a calorific deficit .Its not fair, and I dont know why my body works like this. Is it genetic to be flabby with rolls, but be featherlight? Im not a woman, in which only would it make sense. Its like im trapped, cutting makes me weaker and even smaller while only barely cutting the fat,and bulking just increases the fat evermore. Anybody else like this?

Its not a waste of time, keep lifting weights and build muscle, then get the fat off. Life isn't fair, but I've learned this thing, if you are determined and keep going even if you get knocked down more times than you can remember, you might just find what you are looking for. When I did a "normal" cut, I cut calories and kept my activity the same, I turned into a smaller version of myself. Keto is my last ditch attempt to get to 10-12% bodyfat and if keto doesn't work, well, I up calories and go my speed from there.
Three week keto test run Started July 19 It will work, or I'm done dieting.

It is not a waste of time but is sure is hard. I'm 6'.0", thin framed and had my weight down to the 160 lbs range and still had fat deposits around my waist. How low do I need to get it to loose the fat?

endomorphs do have a hard time losing fat but it seems they have it easier when packing on muscle.

Forsaken3400 well we gain like 3 x more fat while we bulk so it doesn't really help I wouldn't mind so much is I could distribute it around my body equally instead of it collecting around my waist.

what is this a thread for people to complain about how genetically screwed they are? I'm pretty sure I would be classified as an "endo", get over it: ectos have their own share of problems.

Back when you were in high school and running all those miles, it was probably negative for you. You probably weren't eating enough, then running all those miles etc sapped your muscle leaving you more fat. Bulk. Get some muscle on there, then shed off the fat.

I'm a terrible Endo. I've been fat since the third grade. Don't sit around and make excuses. Hit the Iron, manipulate your diet until you figure out what works for you.

You're just going to need to add muscle. The more muscle mass you have the less noticeable body-fat will be- For example, if a guy is 5'10" 160lbs 18% body-fat he will look chubby.. if he bulked to 5'10" 220lbs and was 18% body-fat, he would look like a massive tank, he'd then be categorized under a stereotypical "massive" category. He wouldn't be considered fat- Building muscle increases metabolism so you'll have a more effective cut. This might be a 2 years that seems like a waste, but 2 years from now if you don't keep with it you'll only wish you did and wonder what you would've looked like.

dayum lot of people complainin. Youll get no where like that. I used to whine about how hard it was to gain weight and how small my arms were and then i just started shovelin down food. And i bet all of you that are bitching about high bf%s dont have diets that are spot on either. Quit eating so many carbs and time them better. I bet keto works wonders for an endo as well. If you have a predisposition to gaining fat, well then you just gotta eat better. Do some energy systems work as well. HIIT or complexes should jack that metabolism up. And when its time to bulk up, endos dont have to constantly worry about getting 6 plates of food in every 2 hours. Endos and mesos seem to naturally be more stronger than ectos as well. With all that said, I dont envy you. Personally im glad im an ecto and would rather be an ecto than a meso or an endo, but they all have their strengths and weaknesses.

I think im a bit of endo myself. First bit of fat I ever got was when I was 17 and it was love handles. Been there ever since. Even in college, I was 140 lbs (5'2") could bench and squat at least 1.5 my body weight, was caliper tested at 11% bf, but still had a massive tube around my waist. Now that Im 20 years older, have seen 205 at over 25%bf while not working out, and cut back to as low as 135 just this past year, Im trying to bulk but I want the tube to stay as small as possible. Ive read that keto is not the best on a bulk. Is that true? Also, how does one control ones insulin? If I eat 5 meals a day and I stay within a certain calorie requirement and all is clean foods, should they be complete? Starch carb, fiber carb, protien, fat, or should the starch be dropped? Stay at 30% fats, or go higher, or lower? Some say high carb low, low fat mod protien for a clean bulk. Others say high fats, mod. carb and protien. Perhaps one would work better for the endo? If so, which one? Im sure I have not helped the OP, but thought these questions, if answered, might help the OP as well as myself.

People have different body types. But no matter if your are an endo or ecto there is a way to lose fat and build muscle. read this forum and stick with that. Do not lose hope.
