Most people at my gym tell me that they didnt experience any major muscle growth until they were in their early 20's. Some of them even said that some muscles will not "fill in" until I become a man. Is this true are false? Or both?

I'm not exactly sure. I think it's easier for adults to gain mass, because their bones are done growing and their frames can handle the extra weight. You should do some research on this.

You get a testosterone boost when you are about 21-22 and you will definetly notice it then. Thats why adults are like "i can only bench 250 WTF" and teens are going "I can only bench the bar, WTF!?" atleast thats my theory also when adults pick up working out, they bench 180 at start. i started with,,, like 65

Lord they are hot though, don't touch, I advise. But you are burned, and penalised, of course overdramatise and you get the prize. I am that boy baby girl and now I will end your 9 lives.

Most teens just lift, and don't bother much with their diet. Hell, when I was that age, most guys I knew who lifted at all only worked their upper body, and most of them were just chest and bicep guys. Bottom line, in my opinion, if you're eating right and training right, you'll see results at any age- Don't bother waiting to get older to try and build muscle, just remember the big three rules- Eat, train, rest. Now, ask yourself if you're doing as much as possible in all three areas, properly- And if you're not, get to work.

The peak of your fitness is suppossed to be around 25 years old. As for teens, I think we're at a small disadvantage, so we just have to give it that extra effort for gains.

I second cpl's response. I would add that starting at a youger age (like in your teens) can only help train your body better to prepare for solid increases later on. The best course is to make it your lifestyle and don't ever give it up. One cautionary note is what Penn mentioned. When you are still in your bone growth period, you must be careful not do overload the weights because this can not only stunt bone growth but can actually damage tendons and joints permanently.

I have a similar question who has a harder time gaining mass between a tall or short guy. I've always heard taller guys have a harder time but I'm 6'5 and haven't had any troubles. So is it just a myth?
