......carmen sandiego? haha jkjk does anyone remember that show? nerd alert. I was just curious, where everyone is from? Also, how did you come to find out about DBB? Honestly, I don't even remember what made me decide that my routine at the gym was retarded but I knew it was time to get educated. So about 3-4 months ago I started swarming the internet for information about workout routines, proper form, etc. I some how came across DBB, posted a few questions, got some speedy replies and here I am today. I recently moved back home to Maryland from Philly after graduating (Drexel). chyea. That's me. How did you guys get here, and where are you from?

Philadelphia. I was doing a progressive ab routine, it was supposed to take 6 months, I was very interested in my core strength for my job, and constantly worried about hurting my back, since I was very imbalanced strength wise. I hit a plateau, with like 3 - 4 weeks left, that I could just not progress through. Some how I found this place. Asked my stupid lower ab question. I had also been working with weights for a year at that point. There was such a wealth of info, I just stuck around. Never was able to "finish" that program, wonder if I could make it through that last week now.... probably not. Even though I in significantly better condition, and am as a whole, oh, so much stronger. It is an interesting microcosm of personalities, and view points, it keeps me coming back to chat. I find the people here rather interesting.

I find the people here rather interesting. why do u think u couldnt do it? its only another 3-4 weeks. also whats ur job? Over reaching, and it was very intense. It was designed for the people who come here looking for the perfect 6/8 pack. you were supposed to have a proper diet (as we know it), and a reasonable, but not excessive full body weight work (or like a 3 day split, push, pull, legs), I did a different harder weight routine, and then the 6 day a week ab training, although you worked up to that. started at four and stayed that way for 4 months or something like that. It was working you to a goal show off ab day, if you understand what I mean, like start in winter for august vacation. 1 section of abs a day upper, obliques, lower, and 3 days with weight, 3 days with high reps no rest, and 6 exercise per section (upper, lower, obs). I never intended on doing the book to the end until I was surprised that I made it more than half way, and still feeling good about it. I just kept hitting walls where I could not advance, my diet wasn't perfect, but neither is mine now. Then I started to regress, I couldn't, after a point, even do what had been doing. I over reached pure nd simple. And like the old adage goes, doing a million crunches will only make you be able to do a million crunches, I doubt I could pick up where I left off. I think about trying every now and again, but it is not important to me other than full filling my curiosity. I am the (oh god they just changed my title), building Superintendant , for a historic victorian church. I run/ supervise the restoration work, I fix broken things, I stage the important events, I move antiques, I climb ladders (60' was the highest yet!), scamble on the roof. We are also an indie rock/hardcore/metal/psych venue, we were in Rolling Stone mag this year. So more boy hearinding, a bit of security at times. I am like the buildings mom. There is a significant amout of heavy lifting involved with my job, although it is not constant or daily.

I dunno...I came across this site by just looking up different stuff on the net. I was not losing anymore weight I did not know what do anymore. My first 45-50 pds of weight loss was just common sense. The next 10-15 lbs of weight loss was when I came across danmirage fat loss thread. I printed the sheet and plastered it all over my kitchen and fridge. I joined like months prob a year later. I like folks here!

I was one of those: HOW DO I LOSE MY FAT ASS AND GAIN MUSCLE stupid ass kids. Working out was foreign to me, I've never been (and still am not) athletic. The board grew on me so I decided to become a frequent member. As for where I am, I live in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. It's just south of Detroit.
