an hour should be more than enough but I did do a few 1.5 stints during my leaning but I was on fish 3 times per day, small amounts like 3 oz and 1/2 cup green beans and then 3 shakes per day.............its all in my journal, I posted my 2 mth pre contest there, you would not go so hard but similar, just more relaxed about it, you can get away with carbs just go with yams, brown rice, quinoa.....oatmeal is really good as it regulates the blood sugar, helps with fat loss and leaning.
Also you may bloat to salts or certain veggies and that is all it takes to lose the lines, dairy too, I drop dairy and fruit although I did refeeds with rice cakes, green apples and peanut butter as I leaned super fast so pay close attention to things to regulate as you go along.
My precontest was in september 07 in my old journal, my 07 one, something about fitness figure in the title, I forget.
