When do you train?
-
Tuesday, October 13, 2009 12:57 PM

I usually train after 3 meals, halfway through the day in the evening. But now after several readings, I am going to try working out after my morning meal as it really helps with blood circulation throughout the day and helps you look good. What do you guys think?
Working for the time when I look at myself in the mirror and say "Damn, this is what I always wanted to be"

It doesnt matter how many meals you have, you just need some ample pre-workout nutrition to fuel the workout. I typically train in the evening around 8pm now after class. there are occasions I need to hit the gym before work, so ill go earlier. If I had the luxury of working out whenever I wanted, I would probably force myself to start going in the morning, just something about it makes you feel good the rest of the day. But it really comes down to, when you have the time.

Have a workout time where you will surely be out of stress and without anything to think about; no clashes on work or anything. Have a workout time that will be comfortable for you.

I lift Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Tuesday - 4:30 PM (after work) Thursday - 12:30 PM (on my lunch break) Saturday - 11:00 AM (after my son's Jiu-Jitsu class)

I lift on my lunch hour as that works best for my schedule, however if you can lift in the morning, go for it, i just have a hard time getting motiviated to lift heavy first thing in the morning. Even after eating.

Whenever you have time to, then do it. Or else, you might see it as a burden in the future

I know several pro bodybuilders around where I live. They always train in the morning. The reason is that testosterone level is the highest in early morning. That actually makes sense. Regardless, getting to train 3x a week itself already requires a lot of commitment for me. I won't make it any more complicated by picking up the timings.
