When do i get to see my ABS???? - Wednesday, February 07, 2007 1:01 AM ( #1 )
I have lost about 13 pounds since sept lst year and am now at 127 pounds. I have tried to hold on to my muscle as best as i can during the weight loss.
 
How much leaner do i need to get to see my abs?
Peeps are telling me that if i get any leaner i will start to look ill
( i look smaller in real life than in pictures and have a very narrow face)

Seeing abs is not so much as what the scale weight is but what percentage of bodyfat one has.  Do you know how much bodyfat you have? 
 
Women under 14% should be able to see abs.  You have to work the muscles to develop them such as adding resistance during crunches.  Practice in front of a mirror to see if you can flex those abs.

i know it has very little to do with weight per se. I am giving you my stats as i am crap at measuring bodyfat.
 
I used the calipers and i should be around 16-17% bf
 
looking at the pics, does it look like a completely off estimation?

I would say your magic number is 12% from your info and your pic.  Keep doing ab work so that there is something to view when you can see through your skin.

What do you mean??
I am not saying you are 12%, I am saying that you need to get to 12% to start showing cuts.  This number is under 10% for men.

By looking at your stomach, i would suggest some weighted ab work. You look lean enuf, but u need to bring out that muscle group.
