Everything you need to know is around the site, look at the FAQs and guides posted in training and diet sections. Set a 6 month or year goal once you have a diet and routine sorted. I would say start off with a 6 month goal like gaining 15lbs. I'm assuming your an ecto so that in itself will be a goal you will need to work hard at to achieve.

I know its hard for you to gain weight but trying eating half more of what you eat already and you'll see weight gaining in no time. Actually overeat see how that goes, when I did that I started gaining a lot of weight but then I took a break from gym so I dropped in weight. For a goal, start with something small like few pounds as mentioned by Viruoso and go from there.
Its not what you know, its what you can do that counts!

depends if you are a beginner then find a beginning program or if you've been working out for a while before then try HST to bulk up. Also don't to much if any cardio unless your prepared to eat alot more than you want.
Goals by end of 2009:
Bench 205
Squat 255 ATG
Squat Clean 185

When you crave junkfood, think hard about what exactly you are craving.. is it the salty? cheesey? crispy? Then make a list of healthier options like cheesey broccoli made with low-fat cheese or salty veggie stir-fry that will still satisfy that craving.

If it really is just a specific junk-food like mozzerella sticks you are craving though, invest in  low- cal mozzerella sticks from the grocery store and keep them in the house (though not part of your planned diet, which you should have).  That way, you'll know you always have an alternative if your spinach and grilled chicken salad just isn't hitting the spot.

Be careful not to make a meal out of the junk food.  Eat your salad first and if you STILL crave the junkfood, have a small portion of your back-up food and skip desert that night.

Knowing that you will lose out on a planned desert (small vanilla cone or equal calories is desert) might be enough motivation to rethink whether that mozz stick is really worth it now.

They key is not to deny yourself anything, but to use a barter system in your diet to regulate your intake overall.

his advice sounds better served for someone that is overweight, and the OP is already tiny at the time of his post.

Are you actually eating 4500 calories or are you just estimating? Alot of "hardgainers" are eating alot less than they think, and tbh if you really are eating that much at only 136 lb. and not gaining, you might should start getting some double stacks from mcdonalds 2-3 times a week..it's not healthy, but it will get the job done..i love semi dirty bulks.

http://www.nutritiondata.com/

It even has a function that determines the fullness factor a foods - including proteins! Have a look, maybe it will help you figure out a strategy. And I agree with previous people, you can't possibly be eating 4500 cals and not gain anything....Log for a day or two so your sure what you are working with...
