What types of Protein and multi-vitamin - Friday, January 09, 2004 10:23 AM
I'm 14.5 and also 6'1 227 everybody that I talk to tells me that the creatine I'm taking, is just a way to piss away my money, and that I should take whey protein supplement and a multi-vitamin. My question is are there any specific brands of these things I should be looking for. I also was wondering about Human growth Hormones but am not looking into it much.

I wouldn't say that it's a complete waste on creatine.. because it works for me. But at your age.. it's really an unnecessary item. Nutrition should be #1. Creatine probably won't do much for you anyway as your body is still in the growth stages and changing quite quickly.

Optimum for protein isn't bad. Cheap but many recommend it. Anything but CellTech.. expensive and not any better then a lot of things. As far as a multi-vitamin.. Centrum.. Flinstones.. whatever.. there's lot of choices and so many places carry decent brands of generic vitamins. I get mine at Costco.. nice big old bottle.

HGH.. is for old guys like me. 31.. not you.. You have more HGH at a young age.. the benefits of it would go unnoticed in a young guy like you.

The side effects of HGH are not something a lot of people want either... Elongated facial structure, fingers, arms (...) you begin to look like a retarded witch, because even the nose gets long. But not any other extension of your body... lol

That stuff was secreated from the brain of dead people for a long time and was through the roof for pricing, they now have a "man made generic form" but it's still not worth it. TO much to risk, because your cardio system can go to crap too.

Like any other hormone, it depends on if you are exceeding the normal range or not. If someone is taking hGH in large doses for bodybuilding it's one thing, but if yor doctor is giving you small amounts to keep your level at that of a 20 something, you're much less likely to have disfiguring problems.

Even though it's sythetically available now, it's still damn expensive.

I tried several protien supplements, before choosing Designer protein. It really worked for me...
