Hi all I hope someone can help?.

I have started out training  only for the past two months thoughSmile

I am using creatine 5g a day as well as whey shakes 1 on none training days 2 on training days (basic stuff eh Smile) I eat healthy also & I have done since I stopped smoking tobbaco 2 years ago body fat is at 10% & I am 184pds

My question is what should I expect to see happen to my body in the next 12 months if I take this sport on faith?.

I know $hit about this sport but I need to keep fit so this looks like the place to be.

cheers all.

Relay.

Well, do you have a goal?

If you lift and maybe do some cardio, you will have a general improvement in overall health in so many areas...I hesitate to write the list...here are some areas where improvements have been observed

High Blood Pressure
Elevated Cholesterol
Diabetes
Anxiety
Depression
Stress
Overweight
Underweight
Low energy
Low self-esteem
Pain
Difficulty sleeping
Improve general health
Prevent Osteoporosis
Fat Loss
Muscle Gain

Ahh, well I encourage you to set short , medium and long term goals and work toward them.  Perhaps strength goals (curl 100 pounds for 8 reps by a certain date) or endurance goals (be able to jog to the stadium and back) or muscle size goals (16" biceps)...

If you lift and eat smart, you can go for any goal you want within reason.

You can learn how to do most things by looking around the site and exploring topics that interest you or posting specific questions.

If you want muscle gains or strength gains or endurance gains...these all have slightly different training guidlines.  Usually we cycle through strength to get our poundages up and then go into muscle gains to get bigger, if we compete then we diet down to a competition weight...if we are into it for aesthetics...the ole 6-pack abs for instance...we diet down so they show nicely!

If you are in it for general health, I would recommend maybe some cardio for it's benefits...20 minutes 3x a week say...after you train is a handy time!

Eat healthy, 8-12 cups water a day, multivitamin, 8 hours sleep...your on top othe world!

Thanks for the information danmirage I mostly would like to be fit & healthy but also some vanity comes into play here,Yep I want that six pack abs so the fat eating fellas in this world go green with envy.

I feel that eating right & training right will give me .
more energy
more confidence
plus a better lifstyle than the  general population.

I did first start to look at this as a way to gain in size but after reading about how to get bigger I now look on this as a sport to be enjoyed  & have fun with .

Thanks again mate.

Thats what I'm in it for!

I love feel of the strength and size.
I love the feel of the outrageous health!
I love being able to to do anything physical...like dance to high energy music for 3 hours...or climb a wall...
I love the energy!

I love to share the info I have learned in over 20 years studying, training, and doing this with others.

Cheers then...Smile
