What are the best combinations of muscles to work? My guess was Bi's and Tri's, Chest and Back, Legs, then Cardio. I have also heard that doing 15 of cardio before any workout gets the metabolism goin, is that true?

Thanks a bunch

Warm up with 5 minutes or so of light work.  Gets your muscles warm and ready to work.

Here's my personal combination of body parts.  It's what I like but you can manipulate as you see fit.

Monday - Shoulders & Tris/Abs
Tuesday - Back and Calves
Wednesday - Off/Cardio
Thursday - Chest & Biceps/Abs
Friday - Legs
Saturday - Off/Cardio
Sunday -Off

You can add more cardio AFTER your weight training sessions.  Or not at all.  Or more.. whatever you like.  2 days a week is good for the heart and it helps keep me lean.  2x a week abs is all I need.  Nothing fancy and no long routines.

Total gym time with weights is under 60 minutes.

Total gym time including changing, warming up, cooldown and stretching is about 75 minutes on average.

It really depends too, if you're new to lifting, you might be better off with a full body routine with lots of compound lifts instead of all the isolation work.
