Because of the boring office time and depressed mood, I eat more and more and begin to put on weight quickly. I did not pay attention until one day I came across John and fell in love at first sight. In order to restore my slimness, I have been on diet for a couple of weeks. My friend told me her secret recipe. You can eat as much meet and fish as you want, but no rice, no bread, no sugar, and the absolutely necessarily is half a grapefruit after every meal. Oh, we may discuss it in detail next time if you are interested. Besides, yoga can make a woman more pretty, so I’d like to learn yoga. However, I have no gears, and my friend suggests me http://www.opentip.com/catalog/Yoga-1_9231_9232.html. They look very nice and cheap, but I don’t know which ones to choose. Shall I only buy a ball, a mat or a whole kit? It seems the yoga kit has a better price. Also, do you learn yoga from a teacher or simply learn by yourself by a book and video? I learnt dance for several years in my childhood, so perhaps some books and videos are enough to me? I hope we can exchange more useful information here, that's why I join in today.

while doing said diet will simply lower your carb intake and result in your body thinkin its dying slowly and will switch to burning fat as a last resort simply because there is nothing left to burn...that has been the basis behind many a low-carb diet. however, i wouldn't recommend it. nothing will work better than a good workout plan and a lean, balanced diet.

you eat 6 times a day? Cut it down to 3 times. Also, if you eat 4 eggs in the morning for your breakfeast, reduce it from 30% - 50% by eating only two. while eating smaller portions isnt always the answer...try to eat high volume, low caloric foods instead, that way you are full but not eating many calories...but keep eating 6 times a day if possible, this will help increase your metabolic rate and will pay off in the end...starving yourself will make you lose weight, but not fat...more than likely muscle and water will be the first to go..stay hydrated, eat healthy and often....slowly decrease calories from your total expenditure in a given day....if you burn, say, 3000 cals in a day, take in 2500 for your first week and maybe lower it 100-200 cals a week for a couple of weeks...dont shock your body, it may cause it to go into survival mode.

The more meals, properly balanced and small, the better. Do a search for danmirage's posts on dieting, losing weight, etc. You'll see you'll get the recommendation of a lean protein, a starchy carb and a fibrous carb for every one of those meals. Do not cut down to 3 meals a days.

Thanks a lot for your help and suggestion. If this diet recipe does not really work to me, I will take your suggestion and try others. Then how about yoga? Some people say it is really a good way to keep slim and health, while some do not agress. Is it difficult? I am wondering this.....

I have no experience with yoga, but my personal trainer was also a yoga instructor. He was addicted. Search out a beginner's class. Low-pressure, and you can see if you like it. Usually they are inexpensive, and you'll get to meet other novices. From what I gathered from my PT (this is all second hand), you'll gain some strength and flexibility. Someday, I'm going to try this out. And when I'm really brave, boxing-training classes. But it's can be scary/intimidating to try something new and unknown.

I did Hatha yoga for a little while. I definately gained a lot of flexibility from it, and I learned how to control my breathing more effectively (which, as dumb as it sounds, is actually remarkably helpful for more than you'd imagine). Not only that, but it's pretty fun and feels great, too. I didn't lose much fat or gain significant muscle from what I could tell, but I don't regret having done it in the least. Also, I agree with everyone else on the diet thing. Losing fat is healthy -- losing weight by forcing your body to eat itself, not so much.
