Hello everyone,

I am a beginner in bodybuilding. My aim is to put loads of weight on since I' m very lean. Somebody told me that I should use HMB as a supplement to my diet and protien shakes, so I checked out the prices...and oh boy, it' s just way too expensive for me!

Does anyone know of any other supplements I should take which will help me build muscle quicker?

Whey Protein isolate - for post workouts & w/meals
A meal replacement 2/day
Creatine 5-10g/day
L-Glutamine >15g/day
CLA(essential fatty acid) 4-5g a day.
Clean water 1-2 gallons (2 being the very max)

The basic and bottom line is protein intake and heavy lifting. i would recommed about 1-1.5g of protein per lb of body weight and lots of water.

Use simple carbs for before and after work outs and use complex(oats, certain rices, vegetables, yams) for the rest of the day. If you aren' t gaining lean muscle mass you diet is probably the main flaw.

I would eat about 3-4 regular meals, and add the Meal replacements for a total of 5-6 meals a day, not including the post work out meal. Eating is now your part time job!
