What is the best ay to lose weight and get cut, running? biking? - Friday, October 10, 2008 3:01 PM
I don't have much time and really want to find the best way to lose weight and get cut.  I work part time, and am a full time student at college, and have 3 labs that our 5 hours each, plus homework, and involved on campus.  used to work out every day, then 3 days a week for 2 hrs, then 2 days a week for 1.5 hrs, right now at maybe 2-3 days a week for 1-1.5 hrs.

So I'm busy and want to know the fastest way to get more cut and lose that extra unwanted fat around the hips an gut on days I'm not working out.  Should I try biking, running? tredmill, those row machines? I don't have much motivation, used to run 5 miles a day in highschool, trying to get back into something

thanks

Your workouts should be kept around an hour or under an hour for a metabolic boost anyway.

Fastest way to get more cut? Resistance training and HIIT.

Start off with a 5 minute warm-up light jog, then do a few intervals of 15:45 (15 seconds sprinting, 45 seconds jog) - Start off with 3-4 intervals of that and try build it up over time to like 8-10.

HIIT and its effects on blood lactate will do wanders and burn a great deal of bodyfat so long as you stick to it and a good diet. :)

Best way to measure this stuff with HIIT is on an elliptical bike, free running (not on treadmill, treadmills are tricky), skipping rope, machine rowing, they're all beneficial - hell, vary it up a bit if you want.

i got the best HIIT workouts as a wrestler, now I'm so out of shape with work and school, looking forward to trying it, as I'm sick I Wanted to come to the forums and check the best ways before trying things - already learned crunches don't help much

HIIT is good fun. lol
I highly recommend it if you're looking to cut up. :)

Very time-efficient as well. A few intervals would take no longer than 10 minutes including a warm-up.

ok so you see your right pointer finger? open your mouth and stick it in as far as it will go. Do 3-4 sets of this per day for optimal results. But really do HIIT.
