Hi, I'm 6 foot tall and my weight is 220lbs.running long distances isn't my strength but I have an explosive speed at the beginning. I'd like to play football, but first I'd like to know which position is the best for me?

^^^agreed, at 220 you will most likely be on the line or a tightend though (assuming you are in highschool). We had some big backs back when i played so its really hard to say what postion will fit you without knowing your athleticism and without knowing your phsique.

Do you like contact sports? Do you like hitting people? Do you like only having to run to a certain line then stopping because it'd be a penalty to go further? Do you like beating people senseless with a large stick? Do you like to be, in this sport, one of the most intimidating players on the field due to your stats? Play Lacrosse.

My junior year i weighed 185. A week after camp they decided to move me to guard from full back along with linebacker. a week after that i started the rest of the season at guard(yeah its ****ed up haha) with some linebacker play. My senior year i got up to 220 running a 4.7 and they put me at Left tackle on offense and then i was playing both linebacker and tackle on defense, whatever the defense we were running at the time called for. Our school was quad A but shockingly enough i was like the biggest one on the line, despite this one 280lb kid who didnt even play much cause he was ass ha. So if your school is filled with strong 250lb kids you probably wont get much o line time if that's what your going for. If that's the case try TE or DE or fullback. If not go for the o line. Its not about the size its about the technique and getting off the ball, that's 70% of it. Like i said i was playing guard at 185 so its possible ha

If thats legit you shoulda been all conference RB/LB.

haha i made all conference for o line, but i played half LB and half DT on defense, so couldnt really get the stats as say a full time LB or DT to make all conference on defense
