Weightlifting belt - Wednesday, November 07, 2007 7:42 AM ( #1 )
I think I'm gonna get a weightlifting belt for my heavier deadlifts and squats.

Give me all of your opinions!

Styles? Brands? Specific belts?

I think he meant opinions about which one to buy, not whether he should use one.

Jheft, I don't know about brands, but a belt should be as wide in the front as it is in the back (four inches is probably fine). It should also be very thick and almost unstretchable.

Yeah, coldfire has it right. I've seen lots of threads on why a person should or should not use a belt, and I understand the arguments pro and con. I'm just looking for specific recommendations of what kind of belt to get.

Actually I though it was strange that you would ask that.... I'm fairly sure you were involved in that 300 page thead a few months back about pro's and con's of wearing a belt.. If not involved.. surely you noticed it
